Our Ingredients

Avocado Oil
Cold-pressed avocado oil has an abundance of antioxidants, plant sterols, omega-9, minerals, and vitamins, including vitamins C and E. Together, these nutrients can help boost the production of collagen, soothe inflammation, and lift away old skin cells. Avocados are filled with natural oils that moisturize your skin. By making sure your skin is moisturized, you can prevent blemishes, acne, and wrinkles.
Organic Aloe Barbadensis
Aloe Vera is a short-stemmed succulent plant found in tropical climates. The juice is extracted from the leaves of the plant and is known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits. With a lightweight texture, Aloe Vera is an excellent moisturizing agent that furthermore functions as an effective humectant,  increasing water retention in the skin. Due to the high concentration of naturally occurring vitamins A, B, C, and E, Aloe Vera supplies skin with potent does of antioxidants, protecting the skin from damaging free radicals.

Botanical Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a natural compound found in skin and serves as an inner moisturizing agent. With age, skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid declines, which can lead to increased dehydration, the appearance of fine lines and loss of elasticity.

Dandelion
Dandelion extract may protect against skin damage caused by sunlight, aging, and acne. In one study, dandelion leaf and flower extracts prevented skin damage when applied just before or immediately after exposure to UVB radiation, which is the radiation you get from sunlight. Rich in antioxidants, dandelions have anti-aging benefits for the skin. Dandelion extract can help to nourish the skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and toning unbalanced skin
Vitamin C

Easily absorbed by the skin, this highly potent form of vitamin C delivers particularly effective antioxidant protection and pacifies the damages caused by free radicals. The vitamin helps revitalize and repair the skin’s texture and tone by encouraging collagen production and constraining melanin pigmentation. Vitamin C leaves the skin replenished and balanced, with a radiant appearance.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a sublime moisturizer, combating dryness, promoting soft and supple skin. Furthermore, vitamin E is excellent at aiding the penetration and retention of other beneficial compounds in the skin. As an effective antioxidant, the vitamin has the ability to neutralize damaging free radicals caused by excess sun and environmental pollution. Vitamin E even reduces inflammation of the skin and acts as a light natural preservative.

Horsetail
When applied to the skin, it can help heal rashes, burns and wounds thanks to its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Another anti-ageing benefit is the silica in horsetail which contains collagen. Collagen is an important part of the skin, keeping it taut and wrinkle free.

Grapeseed Oil
Using grapeseed oil can moisturize to dull, dehydrated skin, even out your skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's because linoleic acid and vitamin E help skin retain moisture while restoring elasticity and protecting it from environmental damage. Manages acne breakouts, lightens acne scars.
Witch Hazel
Extracted from the leaves and bark of the witch hazel shrub, this ingredient is a potent anti-inflammatory antioxidant. The high concentration of tannins makes witch hazel a natural astringent and thereby excellent at reducing excess oil from the skin and minimizing the appearance of pore size without leaving skin dry or dehydrated. Its antibacterial properties help combat acne and prevent future blemishes and breakouts, and by doing so, also alleviate and prevent inflammation caused by this form of irritation.
Organic Jojoba

Is lighter than other face oils and easily absorbed into skin. It deeply penetrates to soothe and soften while providing an excellent moisturizing effect and adding a healthy glow. Jojoba has a variety of healing properties that may make it effective in treating skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Organic Green Tea
Is commonly used as a valuable ingredient in face washes, moisturizers, serums, and other skin care products that work to calm irritation, even out skin discoloration, protect the skin against UV radiation, soothe redness and swelling, and repair damage. A 2020 study revealed that the catechins found in green tea were more effective in whitening the skin than arbutin. This makes green tea a great choice for clearing dark spots and improving your skin.

Organic Gotu Kola
The use of Gotu Kola in topical applications is known to provide remarkable firming and anti-wrinkle benefits to the skin. Gotu kola is rich in triternene saponins—a compound that helps keep skin tighter and firmer—and is also a great source of phytonutrients called flavonoids that act as antioxidants and fight off free radical damage. It boosts the formation of collagen and skin tissue, which is crucial in maintaining the skin’s elasticity and youthful glow.

Organic Rosemary
The anti-inflammatory properties of rosemary extract help to reduce swelling and puffiness of the skin. It also helps to heal burns and soothe the skin. This herb's medicinal qualities makes it a powerful cure for chronic skin conditions including dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.

Carrageenan Gum
Carrageenan is a plant used as a stabilizer. It is used to keep ingredients like water and oil from separating in a product. It works great for consistencies of emulsion, foams, and suspensions. Carrageenan works great as a moisturizer as well. When used, it leaves the skin feeling smooth and clear. Carrageenan is a polysaccharide that is extracted from red seaweed, otherwise known as Irish moss, and is often used to thicken products. Carrageenan is usually found in the Atlantic Ocean.
Goat Milk - Lactic Acid
Known for its exfoliating properties, the ingredient gently breaks the bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface. By removing these dead skin cells, lactic acid can therefore prevent breakouts from evolving. Even though lactic acid is considered to be a milder AHA, this ingredient can also help fade post-breakout dark spots. As an added benefit, it is part of skin’s natural moisturizing factor and can help make skin feel less dry.

Wild Geranium

A 2017 review of studies on geranium essential oil indicated that its antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties make it beneficial for reducing acne breakouts, skin irritation, and skin infections when applied topically. By helping skin stay conditioned, and soothing irritated or breakout prone skin, it fights against skin affected by harsh weather conditions or prone to acne.

Glycerin
In its pure form, glycerin is an odorless, colorless, and viscous liquid with a consistency similar to syrup. With humectant benefits, glycerin helps the skin attract and retain moisture, providing a barrier protection, leaving the skin plump, smooth and hydrated.

Ethylhexylglycerin is a skin-softening agent. Ethylhexylglycerin can also be used as a preservative and carrier/suspending agent that boosts the efficacy of other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. It has been shown to have mild humectant properties leading to improved skin hydration without a sticky feel.

Phenoxyethanol
Prevents bacteria: It's antimicrobial and highly effective in preventing the growth of fungi, bacteria, and yeast in a product formula. The use of preservatives enhances the safety of products.

The amount of preservatives in ZOE Skincare is less than 1%.
